AC Delco

Almost all of the engine control sensors used on the Lotus Carlton are made by AC Delco. This is probably because the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is also an AC Delco device. Very few (if any) other Vauxhall/Opel cars use these same sensors, so getting cheap ones from European dealers is virtually impossible.

However, AC Delco are major suppliers to GM in the states, and many of these sensors are available from AC Delco dealers there. Some of the parts are extremely cheap. For example, the Oil filter in the UK currentlky costs over £20, whereas in the states I recently bought one for $5 (about £3.60). Hardly worth a trip to the States just to save 16 quid ? Perhaps.
