The Good Guys

This page is dedicated to those people and companies that have tried to help me. All of them have exceeded the level of service that I was expecting, and I recommend them all to anyone else who has need of their services.

• Philip Sergent Vehicle Services, Goldcroft, Yeovil, Somerset. Phil and his team have looked after my car for the last 2 years. During that time they have repaired my car after several clutch problems, and a timing chain snapping. This latter problem's rectification involved a complete engine strip down and re-build. I would recommend Phil to anyone else who is in need of similar services. Sometimes the job isn't completed as quickly as you might hope, and his rates aren't the cheapest (although he is nothing like as expensive as a Vauxhall Franchise dealer), but in my experience, you get top quality results.
  
  

• Summers Vauxhall, Service & Parts Department, Summerhouse Terrace, Yeovil, Somerset. They used to be Wincanton Motors, then Arlingtons, and now they are Summers. Although they aren't approved Lotus Carlton dealers, they have been prepared to spend their time sourcing parts for me. This can involve a long search through the parts catalogue, followed by a long search through approved dealers for the relevant part. It's got to the point when the more experienced staff recognise me as I arrive, and 'take their lunch break'. I can't blame them for this, and we even occasionally joke about it. But considering they can't be making a lot of money out of me, I think their service justifies a Good Guys rating.
  
  

• Monorep Ltd., Poplar Avenue, Norwood Green, Southall, Middlesex. In particular, Micheal Lancaster. They are in the process of repairing my car after an accident on the M25. Micheal has kept in constant touch advising me on the progress. The repair is taking longer than I or he was expecting, basically because Vauxhall can't locate a new rear bumper for me. So far, I am impressed with the service I have received from Monorep. Still, I haven't actually seen the repaired car yet, so there is plenty of opportunity for things to go to pot yet !
  
  

• Privilege Insurance, Priviledge Wharf, Neville Street, Leeds. For the best Insurance quote, over £200 cheaper than the nearest competitor. Also, I have had no problems yet regarding the insurance claim that occurred as a result of above mentioned accident. I just hope that next years quote won't turn them into Bad Guys.
